Day: 11 Open

Well today i have to come to realize I am very far behind in my work. With only 2 weeks left, and 4 projects done this is a little concerning. Yet I move on forward from this today I chose to a cool shoe manipulation where I kind a add splatter effect. I hope it will turn great, and I can move on from this, and try to truck through. Here's the link   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5_WLK-EwyU. Lets go totems.

Day 10: Blurr

Image
Today i spent nearly the entire class taking photos for my next project, but I faced two problems. One today is was really bright out side so couldn't capture many good shots. Since Jake skin is on the pale side he gets lost in the photo. Secondly all the photos I took were blurry as hell. I don't know if there was something wrong with my eyesight. This might be the worst photo shoot yet, but it happens so I move on. I will be better I can count on that. I know there is only a couple of weeks left, and I have to work overdrive. Yet I have a lot of other work to do so I have to learn to balance my classes. To maximum all my class time, and at home. Here are the failures of today.

Day 9: Island Ligtbulb

Image
For next project I chose to a photo manipulation with a light bulb. It was really easy since method i chose was with a layer mask. I will find ways to keep elevating  the project more by adding background or a scenery to go with the light bulb. It still rough around the edges but work is till be had.

Day:8 Brush Off

Image
Today I spent nearly entire class figuring out why my brush was not working on my dumb layer mask. Then I come to realize I was using a white brush on a white background god. Sorry lord just really frustrated. The overall effect turn out not expected. It's still rough around the edges, and doesn't have true feel of the effect. The problem for this is the type of brush that i use. I wasn't able to angle it also i couldn't bring out its pop. I will come back to this later with a different brush to touch it up. Also there will be a surprise in store just you wait.

Day:7 Heisman

Image
Alright back at it again with another posts yes I know I have been slacking lately I am  very busy. Yet that is no excuse not to produce a daily blog so for now on will try to double up the blog, and my work ethic since there is only so many weeks left. O K on to the blog so I decided to do a splatter effect for my next project. I spent the whole time preparing the project by cutting out a person from a photo. Hence the title Heisman its on Baker May field. I wont explain who he is just look him up. I spent nearly a class cutting him out since fingers are so tricky. Especially in between his fingers, yet it turned out OK.

Day 6: He Shoots He Scores

Image
Today i worked on added light to photo it took me awhile to find a photo since all my photos previously Incorporated light. Yet I found it turned out OK yet there is still work to be had. With this skill I can apply to all my future throughout this journey.

Day 5: The Light is Bright

Image
Today I learned how to use a lens flare on for any photo it was pretty simple. It a setting on Photoshop i just add to the effect will this will help my enhance my photo yet i need to learn the correct use for it and technique of placement. I m thinking of using some this photos I took.

Day 4: SetBack

I had stupid totem award meaning so i couldn't do my work. Yet i figured what I m going to next on my list is a lens flare effect. I take photo and add that effect then show a compare and contrast.

Day 3: Victory!

Image
So i was deciding on what background to choose then Jake came up with an idea to use a forest. I was well that doesn't too bad. I chose this photo since i thought it blend well with his skin.                                          So i applied the double exposure effect to it and it turned out OK. I wished could have been able to let his eyes shine through. This is not the finally product yet but it's nearly done.

Day 2: The Saga Begins

Image
So i started doing my double exposure, and found it easy to follow the tutorial. I found myself not struggle at all. Yet i figure out what background went well with the double exposure. The first it looked to dark on my model and didn't fit a theme. So i scraped that one then later i decided to do a city shot but it didn't turn out well. I'm unsure what to do about the background situation but i will figure it out in dos time.

Day 1: Beginnings

Image
Well today I went and took photos for my double exposure product. I chose not to do a stock photo first since i have confidence in my skills. First i took a photo of Jessica then went erase all the background yet all her hair was in the way. So i decided to pick Jake as my model since he doesn't have the hair problem and it be easy to cut out the background. Also i decided what tutorial i would base my work off of a you tube video. I chose this a video method since i find easy to follow step by step. Video:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mbf-QXCCXgM  example: of a double exposure
